COMPORTART 2024
at Casa da Cultura - Fundação da Herdade da Comporta
COMPORTART 2024 was the first edition of a collective exhibition organised by Associação Fragmentos Itinerantes which took place between the 17th and the 26th of September at Casa da Cultura da Comporta.
The exhibition brought together several artists with the aim of fostering dialogue between them and the community, while celebrating and amplifying the richness of cultural diversity.

A mix of small handmade tapestries applied to a panel lined with fabric scraps.

A piece that transported me back to the origin of my mixed pattern design, when in 2021 I brought together small tapestries I had, and a vibrant mix of geometries emerged. It was the first time I felt I had created something truly my own, where I truly saw myself as an artist.
This work combines small tapestries made during that time, mixed with fabric scraps to cover the panel, a technique I had explored before but left unfinished and needed to get back to.
